The BlackBerry application storefront is accepting submissions

You've read the announcements and heard the buzz - and now it's time to make it happen! As announced recently at our first annual BlackBerry Developer Conference, the new BlackBerry application storefront is set to debut in the Spring. It will offer BlackBerry smartphone users with a one-stop-shop to discover, download, and purchase a wide variety of 3rd party applications for BlackBerry smartphones. From games and entertainment to travel companions; news alerts to music services; document printing to CRM - this is your opportunity to shine and get your custom applications in front of BlackBerry smartphone users around the world!

Submit Your Applications Today!

We are now accepting application submissions for the BlackBerry application storefront. We will be accepting Java® applications from the community including "Web Icon" applications that are used to launch mobile Web applications.

How Do I Submit My Applications?

To learn more about the application submission process and how to get started, please visit the BlackBerry application storefront submission page at the following site:
blackberry.com/developers/applications

Once submitted, your applications will be tested for use with BlackBerry smartphones to ensure that they meet a minimum set of criteria. Representatives from RIM will keep you informed of your application's progress throughout the submission process.

We Want Your Applications

The BlackBerry application storefront will be home to both personal (consumer) and business applications for BlackBerry smartphones and will support both free applications and those requiring payment. Initially, the storefront will focus on offering those applications that users can easily download wirelessly and activate immediately without needing any customization or integration services. If you have wireless applications ready for the market, now is the time to get them into the queue for the BlackBerry application storefront.

Thank you for your ongoing support of the BlackBerry platform! We hope that the BlackBerry application storefront will offer you a great opportunity to expand your business and to bring new innovative solutions to the market.
